Marcel Boucher
Parasina Sterling Bow Pin As
if tied with real ribbon, sterling silver loops
around to create a bow on this darling pin by
Boucher. The center of the bow is decorated with
three glistening green emerald cut rhinestones.
With the rationing of metals during WWII,
sterling silver was frequently a substitute for
the base metals used in costume jewelry.
Companies such as Coro and Boucher went to Mexico
to produce some of their jewelry in sterling
silver. Parisina was the mark used by Boucher for
pieces made in Mexico during WWII. Marked
sterling, Mexico, Parisina, measures 2-1/2"
by 2". Excellent condition.
