Fridl Blumenthal
Sterling Modernist Cufflinks
Fridl Blumenthal jewelry is not
commonly found and not much is known about the
artist. In 1966, her work was exhibited at the
Art Institute of Chicago and from that news
release we know that she is a native of Germany.
It also mentions that, "Her work expresses
the close relationship between sculpture and
contemporary hand wrought jewelry". The
modern design of these extraordinary cufflinks by
Fridl is shaped by curvilinear line against an
oxidized sterling background. Signed FRIDL with a
tulip, sterling, 80, measures 1-1/4" by
5/8". Excellent condition.
