Coro, Mexico
Silver Flying Goose
Pin
An unusual and interesting design of a goose in
flight. The vermeil is a warm rose gold
wash over silver. During WWII, metals were
restricted and many jewelry manufacturers began
using sterling or silver. Jewelry was sometimes
made in Mexico during this time and this
particular brooch was made by the renown Mexican
silversmith Hector Aguilar in Taxco, Mexico.
Circa 1940s, signed Coro, Mexico, Silver,
measures 3-1/2" by
2-1/2". Excellent condition.
